In Ukraine now, there is a sea of all sorts of manufacturers who offer some cool, some lousy furniture options.
The same applies to beds. A large selection of different models for different budgets and tastes.
However, it is possible to distinguish two large groups of beds by design. Wooden beds

- Beds with soft upholstery
Designers in their projects mainly use beds with soft upholstery because of their modern design and how they are combined with other interiors with a large amount of chipboard and a kind of "minimalist" design that mainly prevails in Ukrainian houses.
Soft beds are quite comfortable, often users choose them so as not to "kick" against hard surfaces and have a soft headboard.
But such beds have several significant disadvantages.
First, a soft bed is usually quite voluminous.
It takes up a lot of space in the room and looks even more massive. That is a significant disadvantage for small rooms.
Secondly, a soft bed collects dust.
Like any upholstered furniture made of foam and synthetic foam inside, an upholstered bed accumulates dust, which must be regularly cleaned with a vacuum cleaner. And preferably with a knockout function. And it is impossible to remove the dust completely. It is impossible to wash pillows that are nailed to the frame tightly.
In the third - pets.
If you have cats or dogs at home, they very often like to scratch or gnaw comfortable soft corners of beds, very quickly turning them into shabby old furniture)
The fourth is the quality of the fabric.
Very often the quality is poor. Especially if you buy an inexpensive bed. Usually, it is the fabric that is the main valuable material in upholstered furniture. And to save money and offer a lower price, manufacturers use cheap synthetic fabrics that quickly lose their appearance and sometimes are simply dangerous due to the specifics of burning or the emission of harmful substances. After all, artificial fabric consists of plastic fibers, which can dry out and spread in the air of your home along with other dust.
The fifth is the quality of construction.
When the bed frame is covered with fabric, it should not be expensive. Right? Because the main cost lies in fabric and other materials. Therefore, manufacturers often use cheap chipboard and fasteners. Cheap chipboard is not covered with lamination, has a fairly high emission of formaldehyde, and simply stinks. Cheap connections quickly begin to creak. And not long-lasting. Once you disassemble the bed, you can not assemble it again
Therefore, we believe that a wooden bed is the best solution for a bedroom.
First, you add natural materials to your home.
The texture of the wood, its warmth, and its natural beauty make the room warmer and more pleasant, diluting the strength of the chipboard.
Secondly, the wood does not stink.
The only thing is when the manufacturer uses cheap varnishes. But this is less and less. Oil, or "water" varnishes are increasingly used to cover wood, giving it a pleasant smell instead of solvents.
Thirdly, the wood is sustainable.
Your pets will not be able to ruin it. Especially if it is hardwood. With the condition of high-quality fittings and construction, you can assemble and disassemble your favorite bed as much as you like and transport it with you from house to house.
The fourth is compactness.
A wooden bed is usually much more compact and less soft. It has a higher utilization rate of your space and takes up much less space.
The fifth is easily cleaned.
All dust is easily removed with a damp cloth, leaving a pleasant smell of clean, fresh wood.
And if you are worried that the headboard is hard, you can always put a pillow that can be easily washed or replaced over time. And you will knock your feet only if the bed has an incorrect, ill-conceived design. Just check it when choosing.
